OK this is where I step in guys. It's very dark so I had to watch both videos several times to be sure but what I'm seeing is no real protective gear. I see what looks like airsoft masks on a few of you. We here at TPLA have a very strict safety requirement of legitimate fencing gear in the form of fencing masks, HEMA and Kendo gear. We DO NOT allow videos of unsafe practices to be posted in our groups or forums. Please keep this in mind in future posts.
Thank you, Darth Telos Knight of TPLA

The darkness of these videos would make it difficult to give you tips at any rate, but more importantly, we don't want to set poor examples for gear usage here. In the future, please ensure that you utilize proper protection when sparring.

I can assure you head and hand safety gear is being worn. Some are fencing masks and some carbon fiber/steel masks, many a head shot landed with no damage. If its an issue I'll remove them.

I watched the videos closely and did not see proper safety gear. I literally saw hair on the top of the head of several of the duelers. Proper fencing gear covers the entire front, sides and top of head. We're not trying to be dicks here. We're just very serious about safety.

Taking a second look the end of the second video reveals those to be airsoft masks not suitable for dueling.

If I might also add, videos this dark are quite difficult for the Masters to critique, making it difficult to provide you with feedback on your techniques. If you choose to go down the initiate route, you will want to film at a better time of day... Or if you have access to a gym/dojo space, film there.
